It’s a Kind of Magic

 

I wish I could make a Love Potion and share it with everyone that needs a little happiness in their life. If only medicine was so easy.  The last couple of days I’ve spent most of my time at hospital with my youngest daughter…she’s 20 so not a baby and she’s been subjected to a whole bunch of blood tests, x-rays, ekg’s and all kinds of wonders of modern medicine. Today, one of the doctors she saw surprised her. My daughter asked her if it had been confirmed that she was anaemic and the Doctor leaned over, pulled down her eyelid and said ‘yes, you are’. My daughter was astonished. “You can tell that from my eyes?” she said. “Poke out your tongue” said the Doc….”and you’re dehydrated still too” she said as my daughter’s eyes widened in amazement.

In an age when we are so reliant on technology, especially in medical fields it was refreshing to see someone relying on what they could see with their own eyes.

 

It was interesting that I was thinking about olde worldy medicine when I got home to rez this fabulous set of items from unKindness that are available at the Wizarding Faire. The Magical Shelf is available for purchase at the Faire and there’s also a Gacha full of magical goodies too! The Lesson Board and Spell Table are Rares and there are lots of decorative bottles of all kinds of witchy wonders and cauldrons to help decorate the perfect wizardly scene! There are 11 commons and 2 rares and I think I’m in love with my new Spell Lab!

I had been feeling quite medieval after checking out this gown from Tashi which is available at the anniversary round of The Instruments which opens tomorrow (18th July). The figure flattering gown is their first formal dress and comes with a colour change hud and this beautiful flowing cape as part of the dress.

I feel rather glamourous for a witch but as witches go we can’t all be green-skinned with warts…or maybe I am and I’ve cast a spell on you!
