Everything Happens for a Reason

I have faith. No this isn’t going to be a blog about religion I promise. I have faith that everything happens for a reason no matter how much it initially doesn’t feel like it at the time. Even the very worst situations can have a silver lining or the bad situation leaves you in a place that opens new opportunities to you.  My friend and fellow blogger Sadystika Sabretooth wrote today in her blog about how the fear of the reaction often stops us taking action to deal with a situation.  It’s human nature to think, as Sady puts it, ‘the sky will fall’ when we finally do gain the courage to do whatever it is our gut is telling us.  I made a major change to my SL a couple of weeks ago and I was fairly certain of what the reaction would be from some of the people involved and the fear of that stopped me for a long while doing what I knew I had to do for myself.  Just at the time that I was reassessing what I would do with my SL time an opportunity arose that, had I not made the decision I had made and acted on it when I did, I would not have been able to pursue. The long and short is that of yesterday evening I had a new role in SL as the PR and Social Media Manager for faMESHed event and The District shopping area which is an amazing role for me for so many reasons and I’m excited about what the future will hold working within the faMESHed team. So many times in my life, SL and RL, good has followed bad, that’s why I have, and will continue to have, faith.
