Lipstick, Powder and Paint

Things often happen in threes. I work with three other people and all of them have resigned recently. Not for any bad reasons, they all enjoy working where we work but all have either had promotions or got jobs outside of our organisation which fit with their overall career plans. It’s all great news for them and not such great news for me. We have hired new people but none of them could start earlier than January and therefore for the next month or so I will be covering ALL of their jobs as well as my own.

*Gulps*

I am finding myself getting quite anxious about it in the run up to their leaving but I also realise that I’m the sort of person that will worry about something before it happens but once it has happened I will take a far more ‘it is what it is’ attitude.  It’s the leaving lunch for two of my colleagues today…the two that I am closest to. I am excited for them and I know I will see them outside of work in the future but I will miss seeing them as part of my daily routine at work too.
