Bohemian Rhapsody

I’m still waking up this morning, or trying to…I’m on the second cup of coffee and trying to focus…honestly.  I have lots of exciting things coming up over the next week and while I was thinking about them this morning it really made me think about the diversity of friends and contacts I have in Second Life and how much I enjoy all of them.

This weekend we have a talk at BVN from my girl Sady.  She’s going to be helping us understand how to use tools like Anypose or Animare to adapt poses to fit our avatars more. While I’m on the subject of Sady I’m just gonna put this out there for everyone. Sady is the most loyal, loving and genuine friend I’ve ever had in Second Life. We don’t talk every day but I know, and she knows, that we are there for each other no matter what.  She’s a rough diamond, she has a mouth a sailor would be ashamed of sometimes and the store was out of filters the day she was born but, oh my goodness, I’d take her loyal honesty over fake-asshattery, back-stabbing, snidy bitches any day of the week. Many think they know her…they don’t. She’s a gem and what do you do with gems? You treasure them.

Sunday is the opening of Deva Westland’s Summer Exhibition will open at the Galerie des Beaux-Arts. The theme is “Warmth” and I have a photo featured. It’s not a summer photo  – far from it but it has a very special meaning to me. The opening is at noon slt at the gallery.

On Monday I am dusting off the DJ decks for a special show at Second Pride. My original avatar, Kadie, dj’d at a club called Zeus for several years and each year at Pride Zeus provides dj’s to Second Pride for an amazing party! I will be doing a Diva themed set for on hour on Monday at 1pm slt at the Zeus pool party.

After that it’s on to SL15B where I will be holding a series of interviews in the main auditorium on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at noon slt. I’ll be joined by some amazing friends to discuss items including decor and homes in Second Life and why a base is so important to us as residents, friends and relationships and how to nurture long distance and online relationships with an expert counsellor and pastor, and blogging – everyone’s favourite hobby in Second Life!
