Inner Peace

I had instance last week to talk to someone that I haven’t spoken to for over 5 years. This person betrayed me several years ago in a very hurtful way and I cut them out of my life. I’m not particularly forgiving but I also don’t go out of my way to be bitter or vindictive towards anyone. Once I’m done with someone, I’m just done. They no longer exist for me.

This need to speak to this person wasn’t out of choice. They needed customer support from one of the stores I work for and so it was my job to be professional and courteous and help them with their query, which of course, I did. I was a little surprised that I didn’t feel awkward or at all ‘grrry’ toward them. I didn’t feel anything at all. I’ve thought about how I felt, or didn’t feel, quite a bit since then and I’ve come to the conclusion that the inner peace and security I have right now with my Second Life is the reason why.  My happiness and contentment with what I have in my personal relationships with Mr M and my closest family and friends as well as my enjoyment of my professional SL mean that I really have shaken off any residual negative feelings towards anyone that I feel has done me harm in the past. The realisation has been incredibly freeing
