After my post last week, and seeing some other bloggers jumping on board, today I am focussing on one of my favourite mainstore shops and store regions. I was talking with a designer last week about the excitement of finding a well landscaped and created mainstore region and Mug is one of the best.
Mug’s owner and designer is sᴛᴀʀ ᴅ’ᴀᴍᴏʀᴇ (brandy.difference) and I had the pleasure of interviewing them a couple of years ago for an episode of Seracast.
The mainstore itself is vibrant, fun and full of surprises. When you land there are two entrances, for fems or mens.
There’s a cute and girly front desk area which is well laid out with all the buttons you need to press for redleivery, Blogotex application point for bloggers, and information about the groups for events Mug features in regularly.
At the time of taking the photos for this, and until the 25th, 12 Days of Mugmas is ongoing in the store for members of the Mug group. There is a 250L group join fee and once you join you can pick up all the previous days gifts! You’ll also be eligible for all future group gifts too. It’s extremely reasonable for the Mugmas gifts alone
Mug has a unique selling point in the way that they package and rig their items. While Mug rigs for a number of bodies you purchase just one mesh and then use a hud to trigger the mesh rig you want to use. I really like this approach as it helps to keep the number of items in each pack to a minimum. I am an avid deleter of items that are created for bodies I don’t wear and with the Mug approach I don’t have to!
The Mug mainstore region is also home to several brands and is sooooo worth the exploring. The fun, quirky and creative build is simply gorgeous and the curation of the stores and brands fits perfectly with the aesthetic of the region and compliments the Mug brand also.
It’s just so exciting to wander around the region, finding brands and popping in and out of stores all while being in awe of the creative talent that brought it all together.
