I had a mega busy week last week and didn’t post a Mainstore Monday but that is the joy of this feature…it doesn’t have to be every week! Plus, I have a gorgeous store to show you today and the backstory of the brand has a rich and vibrant depth to it.
Ladies of a certain age, SL age that is, will remember a brand of the early 00’s called Mon Tissu which was a huge favourite. (If you are even older than that you will also remember Surf Co) The store was set on a region called Mayfair which had a fabulous London themed build and shopping at Mon Tissu really felt like an experience. I’d browse the store for what felt like hours and nearly always left with shopping bags bulging. I personally lived and died in their Harlow Jeans!
One of the creative minds behind the brand was Emma Gilmour who recently made a full return to Second Life with her new brand, Mellow Elie

I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to Emma since the launch of the store. As many of you know I originally owned a website called mainstoresl.com with the purpose of promoting mainstore sales, events, promotions etc and when I joined Seraphim we merged mainstore promotions into the event website.
I found a kindred spirit in Emma as we talked about the wonders and excitement of finding a really astounding and creative mainstore location. So of course, Mellow Elie was always going to be something special.
Landscaped by Aria Christen and Emma herself Mellow Elie is like stumbling into a secret woodland where someone has set up camp….with a bus! Literally a bus!! She set up shop in a secret clearing and, for me anyway, I just wanted to explore more. Of course I wanted to shop too…and I did! But there also gorgeous areas to sit, take photos, hang out and just soak up the nature atmosphere.

Emma truly wanted people to enjoy shopping at Mellow Elie…so let’s talk a bit more about the shopping!
Mellow Elie similarly Mon Tissu way of displaying items on racks, just as you would see items in real life in many stores.

Mellow Elie has a casual-chic vibe with high-waisted jeans, basic Tee’s as well as jackets and hoodies. The colour palette is denims, neutrals and a soft palette of rusty reds, browns and beiges and more. It’s effortless to mix n match items from different ranges in store but also I’ve mixed with items from other stores with ease too. There are a range of limited edition purchases which I love to see as it gives you the option to style a more unique look and there are additional options in Fatpacks but your favourite standard colours are all available individually. Really the fatpack options mostly give you the ability to have all the colours AND mix and match textures on your item to achieve the perfect look.
On the front desk of the store bus there is a redelivery terminal and giftcards to purchase to use too. There’s also a free Mellow Elie coffee mug in wearable and decor versions to pick up for free.

I know from talking to her and the information in the group information that Emma is very focussed on growing her mainstore by wrapping her arms around her group and hugging them tight. She offers group discounts on purchases and has plans for special offers and promo code group only deals for the future so it is very much worth joining her group. There are also a couple of group gifts to pick up in the group gift VW camper.

Hop on over, take a photo, sit and rest and grab some shopping at this unique mainstore – all the deets below!
