Mainstore Monday – Finca

I’m really excited to be sharing my love of the store Finca today for Mainstore Monday. So if you don’t know what Mainstore Monday is, it’s a feature that I run here on the blog where I review one of my favourite stores in Second Life from their main store perspective.

Finca is a home and garden store providing furniture and various other decor items. It’s a beautiful style. It’s very rustic pretty items often with a contemporary cute aspect to them that makes them quite unique.  When you arrive, you come into the landing point with the entrance to the store right in front of you.

To the left there is a display item and to the right are weekend sale items. And depending on what day of the week that you come, you might get lucky if some of the weekend sale items are still out.

When you come into the lobby, there’s lots of information which is always super helpful. There is a news hud that you can get, which is very well done. I’ve seen it a few times and it will give you all the latest news and information. There is a group joiner on the desk to the left as you walk in and then there are details about all the events that they’re in.

If you continue through to the left into the group gift area, there are several items to pick up. Now this is always good when you can join a group and you don’t just get the current group gift, but there are lots of group gifts here.

I particularly love their rain boots with flowers coming out of them and but there’s lots of seasonal and non-seasonal group gifts that you can pick up here and to the right as you come in there is a group join and some links to their social media for Marketplace and Flickr, Facebook and they also have a subscriber so if you are short on group spaces that is super helpful.

There’s 10% off the group members and so just by clicking on that you can open the group. It’s a free-to-join group so free-to-join group you get 10% off all purchases and you get to pick up I think there must be about 20 or so group gifts to pick up as well.

There’s a re-delivery and there’s a teleport to their older items outlet. Now before you go into the main store there is the turning to your right for the garden decor and this is exceptional. Finca does incredible work with that outdoor decor as they do with the indoor decor as well but you’ll see a picture here of a couple of the outdoor items.

When you go into the main area, you’ll notice that every area is like really nicely labelled and items are clustered together wherever possible around a theme or season.

Some of the outdoor furniture that I mentioned is on display in the main store as well. There are fatpack options, adult and PG, you can buy the items individually or you can buy the flat packs. You’ll notice that when you arrive in one of the areas to look at an item, the area is completely clear and there is a large vendor image, but if you look down to the floor area, here’s a demo area in front of each item and by clicking the button next to that demo area, the item actually rezzes for you, so you can see the entire item.

This means that the store looks very clean, very tidy, very organised, but you don’t miss out on seeing the actual physical item,  I think that’s a genius idea, and  quite unique. I mean, yes, stores have demos but I’ve not seen it done in quite this way before.

Finca really is one of my favourite creators in Second Life and I’ve never yet been able to visit this store without grabbing something new and unique. Check them out at the info below.
