The things about pushing a bike up a hill for so long is the reward you get at the top of the hill. The view is amazing, the air is clearer and you get time to think and assess. You realise how small you are when surveying that view but mentally it gives you strength to realise you can achieve whatever you set out to achieve. Of course the real pay off is on the way back down the hill when you get to take your feet off the pedals and enjoy the wind in your hair. That’s the real result of the fruits of your labour.
