There have more than a few over the last week or so which have given me so much confidence in myself. It started last week when I received, not one, but two notifications from the Avi Choice Fashion Awards to let me know that I had received nominations and had been shortlisted. The Glamour Sauce has been nominated for Favorite Fashion Blog and I’ve been nominated in the Favorite Fashion Blogger Category.
As I looked down the list of other nominees I was so shocked and obviously very pleasantly surprised to see my name listed alongside some of the bloggers and blogs that I have followed, admired and respected. Being in that list is already a huge win for me and feels like recognition of the work I’ve done to improve all aspects of my blog over the last 6 months.
I’ve worried sometimes that I’ve revealed a little too much about my thoughts and feelings alongside my pictures that aim to tell a story of their own too but from the feedback I’ve had that is one of the aspects that people enjoy. I set out to have a blog that people actually read and don’t just look at the pictures and make a note of the slurls and it would seem I am achieving that. That’s made the achievement of the nominations even more thrilling for me.
