SL is often an escape for people. Over the last year it’s become less so for me and more a place for collaborative working on projects. Sometimes though I need SL to just be pure escapism. When real life stresses are at the point where a switch needs to turn off and I can immerse myself into a totally different environment. The last few days have been like that. My SL time has been very limited but what I do with that time, and I’m speaking mentally rather than literally, is vitally important to my overall frame of mind.
There’s a part of me that thinks that this is when I most miss having the companionship of a Second Life relationship. There’s an equal part of me that thinks after this long I’m probably too much set in my SLingle mindset, let alone too damn busy most of the time, for a relationship other than the close friends I have already.
On my short visit to SL today I was able to unwrap several new items that I had been dying to put together. The dress is from United Colors and is available at The Liaison Collaborative and the shoes are new from fri.day at C88 and I think they work perfectly together. I am a sucker for dresses where as much thought is put into the back view of the item as the front…after all I’m mainly seeing it from the back myself.
I suffered from that typical female dilemma of having thousands of hairstyles to choose from in my inventory and still not being able to find the one that worked with this dress in the way I wanted. Or maybe it was because I knew elikatira was having a massive sale with every hair on sale for just L$75 including the variety packs which are usually a little more expensive!
