I’m a Sunday child…born on the Christian Sabbath and according to the nursery rhyme I was set to be “bonnie and blithe, good and gay”. I’m not sure I read as much into that as I do some of my horoscope traits. As I was explaining to Raph the other day I am not one of those people that reads the horoscope every morning or believe that my fate is in the alignment of the stars and planets on the day I was born. I do believe that many of the character traits that are synonymous with my star sign are those that I most naturally display.
I’m a Pisces….
Strengths: Compassionate, artistic, intuitive, gentle, wise, musical
Weaknesses: Fearful, overly trusting, sad, desire to escape reality, can be a victim or a martyr
Pisces likes: Being alone, sleeping, music, romance, visual media, swimming, spiritual themes
Pisces dislikes: Know-it-all, being criticized, the past coming back to haunt, cruelty of any kind
I’ve italicised and underlined the traits that I most identify with about a Piscean and I did have a little giggles as I wrote my SL blog and ‘desire to escape reality’ came up as a personality trait! quelle surprise! My love of SL is also why I can’t agree with liking sleeping…I haven’t slept properly since 2006 thanks in part to SL! Romance…music and a strong abhorrence of anything unfair or cruel I can totally agree with about myself though.
One thing I definitely, 100% agree with is my love of music. In the words of John Miles ‘Music was my first love…and it will be my last’. My earliest memories are so intertwined with music and I’ve always had a keen and eclectic ear for music of all kinds.
I’m curious as to whether my friends agree with the above traits, after all I have written before about how our perception of ourselves is often different from the people that know us best. I can certainly see them nodding at some of them….but maybe not all?
