The beauty of SL for me has always been about people. I have met people from countries that I will probably never get the opportunity to visit. Even the team I work with at MadPea is made up of people from several nationalities…Finnish, Italian, American, Estonian, British, Dutch…the list goes on. And all those people can be in one room n a virtual environment and talking and discussing things in real time. Status has no place as part of that…whether you live in a trailer or a mansion in real life there is an equality within Second Life that if could be emulated in real life the world would be a much happier and stable place.
Wherever you are in the world, however you live and whatever your beliefs we can all have nice things in SL….the globe featured in the images from Fancy Decor at The Liaison Collaborative made me think of this and that’s why it’s featuring as part of the room where I can sit and ‘eat’ and socialise with my worldwide network of friends.
