Surf Hideaway

You know how some words crop up and then stick in your mind. I played a song during a dj set that I hadn’t heard for a while last week. It was a song from a film soundtrack – Blue Crush – and ever since then the word crush, and it’s different uses and how relevant it is to my SL at the moment.

I have a crush. I don’t like it much…I’m far too old for crushes in my opinion. I’m also a wee bit of a control freak and having a crush, aside from feeling immature, also feels uncontrollable. This can be made worse when that crush is on someone that has zero interest in you…that’s just…tragic… and again, akin to being 13 years old again.

Someone told me the other week about their ‘Flickr crush’. Apparently most of us have one…that person who has an amazing avie and is super talented too so every picture they do makes you swoon. I don’t think I have a Flickr crush like they do but I might pay more attention in the future. I don’t want to be left out of this whole Flickr crush thing.

The Blue Crush song linked in this week as I was working on this photo featuring many items from Summerfest. I’m really liking the items from Blue Sky and the ‘You had me at Aloha’ decor surfboard really caught my eye.
