Beach Breeze and Happiness

I’m a bottler up of feelings…good and bad, but mostly the bad stuff. That leads some people to think of me as cold and unfeeling. I know this. It couldn’t be further from the truth. I am neither of those things and if anything I feel too much…usually for people that I shouldn’t. People are always telling me that I should talk about things more but I really don’t like the effect that has on me. I talked to a friend this morning about something very private but that I felt I needed to talk about to them. I almost immediately regretted it. I felt terrible…much worse than the feeling I was having from pushing it down and trying to forget about it. The conversation led to my feeling in the doldrums all day and gradually feeling worse and worse. I’m sure I’ll snap out of it again tomorrow and it just further proves that the topic of conversation is one I need to steer clear of in the future.
