Over the Sea to Skye

You know how it is…you look up something on the internet and the next time you open Facebook or YouTube you are being bombarded with ads or promotions for those products. Well sometimes it’s even when they read your mind! 

 

Yesterday I finally made it over to the Auld Lang Syne sim by Elo Moon which (I think) opened a few weeks ago. Having just got back from my weekend away to Scotland, and wanting a rugged backdrop for my photo, and, also knowing how skilled Elo is in creating sims, I was excited to see her decorating love note to the Scottish Highlands and Isles. 

 

I was not disappointed. I wandered around for a ‘wee’ while and settled on this area for my photo. Elo tells me that if you join the group for a minimal fee of L$10 you can rez on the sim too so it’s ideal for photographers, bloggers and it’s also machinima friendly! We will be adding the sim to the BVN Rezzable Sims list soon but the slurl is below in my credits if you want to go and check it out. 

 

Anyways back to Google/Facebook/YouTube reading my mind. As I was pottering about the sim I remember thinking…just THINKING…”I should check out when the next series of Outlander starts…it must be soon”. I had just cammed past an area of the sim with a wooded area and had been reminded of Craigh na Dun in the series. The places where Claire is transported in time back to 1743. So, as I said, I THOUGHT IT…I never said it, I never wrote it. I set about editing my photo and decided to watch some YouTube while I did and as the page opened, at the top of my ‘recommendations’ was the Season 5 trailer of the show! I kid you not…Google is now reading minds! 

 

Anyhoo for those that are interested it starts on February 16th on STARZ and if you haven’t watched the previous 4 series I highly recommend it along with a visit to Auld Lang Syne.

The latest release from Addams is a collaboration with DOUX. I love that I was about to colour/pattern match the outfit and beanie and the phrases on the side of the hat made me giggle. You can’t see them so well in this picture but the label can be changed to a number of different phrases. I settled on “That Bitch”. I think I’ll keep it. 

 

The outfit is a huge pack of denim or leather jeans, boots in short, knee and high, scarves in two versions, a bralette and an off the shoulder sweater. Lots of options, textures and choices so do make sure you check them all out at the mainstore.
