The weather in the UK has been erratic to say the least. Last week we had the hottest day on record and just now rain stopped play during the Wimbledon Quarter Finals. I am not a Summer person in real life. I love layering of clothes in real and wrapping up warm and snug in front of a fire on a frosty winter night.
Like my temperament, I hate losing my cool in Summer. I read a post by Strawberry Singh this morning that made me think of my mother and it reminded me of a humourous summer story. As a child I remember telling my Mother once that I was ‘sweating like a pig’. She looked at me with a shocked expression on her face and said ‘Ladies do not sweat Karen…Pigs Sweat, Men Perspire and Women Glow’ I was totally confused by that…women glow? What the hell did that mean? Aside from the fact that I didn’t want to glow…it didn’t sound like a good thing to me either way. “Well in that case” I said “I’m glowing like a pig!”
I decided to try a different mesh head today. I love the huge amount of options and choices there are with the Rowne Jem Mesh Head but it’s going to take quite a bit of getting used to as it’s so different from the Maitreya one I have been using for so long. There is definitely a lot more flexibility included with the Rowne head though so I urge people to try it if they haven’t seen it before. I popped over to Collabor88 too and picked up this Pixicat dress.
For the next couple of days though I am going to be trying to pace myself for all the events starting in the next few days. All the big events this month seem to be starting on the same day around that date…Indie Teepee, The Seasons Story, OMG Gacha, Hair Fair and Mesh Avenue…I’m going to need a new credit card!
