It’s Monday morning again and boy did the weekend come and go quickly. I still haven’t managed to get around all the events that I wanted to over the weekend but on a positive note at least they’ll be a little quieter by the time I get there.
I did get to spend a good chunk of time with my friend Spazz. Those low times that I’ve spoken about in the past, well Spazz is one of the people that is always there. Don’t get me wrong, we argue and fight and have times where we quite cheerfully kill each other but when the chips are down, we both know we have each other.
Spazz is one of a few people from Second Life that I have met in real life too. Last year I took a trip to the States and did a mini-trip to DC, NY and finally Boston, where my friend Jas and I met up with Spazz. We often talk about the memories we all shared of that trip and I keep telling him that next time it’s his turn to come this side of the pond.
He’s also got a pretty photogenic avatar and great taste in clothes so I knew he’d be up for helping me out with some pictures for the blog of the MadPea Gacha set for 6th Republic. And doesn’t he look dapper?
6th Republic is a two week event that happens just twice a year. The November round runs from 6th to the 20th November so you don’t have long to snag the goodies. It’s not exaggeration to say that the absolute best designers and creators in Second Life are taking part in this event. The event is split into two areas – Chicago and California. MadPea is on the Chicago side of the sim and have produced an epic gacha set with two amazing rare items. Having the inside track on the making of this set I can tell you that the attention to detail that went into the set was of paramount importance to all the creators, scripters and designers on the MadPea team.
As for my friend Spazz, he’s a complex character and he may from time to time like to put the ‘ass’ in Masshole but he’s one of those friends that always rises to the top and I love him to bits. ❤
