This look was perfect for me as the past made quite an impact on my thoughts. We often hear these days how we’ve become a far more disposable society. My Dad would tell me about how when he was younger his Mum just had a few items of clothes and they were made to last and if they got worn you fixed them so you could continue to wear them. You didn’t throw anything out unless it was absolutely beyond fixing. I remember the first time his Mum, my grandmother, asked if I had a darning kit to fix a pair of socks. I didn’t even know what it was and there was a look of abject horror on her face when I said ‘throw them away I’ll buy some new ones’. Maybe we have become more used to discarding things we’ve finished using or that we think would take too much effort to fix. Still not sure I understand how people do that to other people but I think I might be a bit old fashioned in that respect.

I’m loving the retro look of this bikini from Junbug at Summerfest. The tops and bottoms are sold separately so you can mix and match the many different colours and texture patterns and comes in Maitreya and both Slink fits. It’s unusual for me to stray away from my regular skin but I fell in love with the Pumec Emelie applier available at Tres Chic this month. I’m wearing it with Jessica and the absolute bonus is that Pumec include a skin applier for your mesh bodies in with the Catwa applier so you can match up your skin perfectly. The decor for in the background is mainly from Summerfest too. Seven Emporium’s Florida Motel Sign looks amazing on any retro sim and the Culprit Pod Chair adds to my poolside perfectly.
