To map or not to map. I was looking through my friends list to send some notecards out and as I was working my way down the list I was quite surprised at a lot of people, contacts, friends that had given me map rights. For anyone that hasn’t used it map rights is the box you tick to give a friend the ability to see where you are on the grid at any time and if they wish to teleport to you. It got me thinking about how this right must be perceived differently by people. Personally I rarely give anyone the right to map me and when I do it’s usually a sign of a relationship or friendship progressing to a new level of trust and transparency. I see the map rights as an invitation to share my Second Life openly with the people that have it, wherever I am and whatever I am doing. I know I am the kind of person that values their privacy in a lot of ways. I like my own space and my ‘hidey-holes’ that I can disappear to, so the idea that more than a few people could track me down and just turn up on the doorstep is unsettling to me. Do you give your map rights quite freely? I’d love to understand how other people feel about this and how they use the view and map rights for their friends and associates.

Tres Chic is now open and I think I might have squee’d a bit out loud when I saw the item from The Annex this round. This gorgeous lingerie all in one corset and panties comes in 5 colour options and is fitted for both Slink bodies as well as Maitreya Lara (worn). I am always a sucker for lace brocade style lingerie and it looks extremely flattering on (I only tried the Maitreya but it fits very well).
If windlights are the thing that take me the longest when taking a picture then hair is outfit what windlight is to photography. It takes me ages and I always tend to go through my newest styles first. When I was putting this one together I was looking through some of my older hair styles. I picked Brielle up in the sale at Elikatira a few months ago and I am still seeing it work with so many different outfit styles from formal to casual to…well, lingerie!

I think if people were to teleport to me they would ultimately decided that was a waste of time. I’m usually found on my beach sat in the sand staring out to sea and AFK. Well not really AFK but on the inter web. I often run SL simply to listen to the music.

hehe! yes I think they would find me a pretty dull visit too – up on my platform taking editing pics and sorting my inventory out most of the time!

oh yes, I’m with you on that..Especially lately, I wish I could be invisible for a couple of hours too…helps me focus better on what I’m doing!

Hahahaha yes, it’s some kind of a new Murphy’s law I guess. But it’s true…especially when I’m ready to take a picture I’ve been working on for hours, then baaaam, IMs hit me and my OCD goes nuts. I need to read them asap. There is also the chance of me crashing whilst on ultra graphics, so one more reason for me to read them immediately hehe. Which is why I usually prefer working in early mornings when everyone is sleeping ♡

yes! this! I am exactly the same – even if I have autoresponse on I HAVE to read the IM and deal with it or I can’t focus on what I’m doing at all.

Not just map rights, but build rights also! I was doing a friend check the other day and noticed I had the build rights to many people who had either forgotten or did not care. I unchecked the ones i no longer needed.
