Weather Girls

Have you ever noticed just how much people can be like the weather sometimes? There’s the saying about people who ‘blow hot and cold’ indicating someone who shows a lot of interest in someone or something at one point and then equally disinterested moments, hours or days later. I’ve realised that one of the things I value in people the most is consistency.

I often say ‘Good morning sunshine’ to people that lighten up my life and I sarcastically called someone ‘a little ray of sunshine’ yesterday for being a moaning minnie! Liberals are being called ‘snowflakes’ at every opportunity. ‘A wet weekend’ is used to describe people that are a bit dull and boring. There are so many metaphors and analogies related to people and the weather. I’d love to hear some from other countries and cultures too! Which one’s do you use most often and what’s your favourite weather related descriptive term for a person?
