I love Paris. I’ve been to the beautiful city several times and have many wonderful memories of my times there. Whether it’s been on business trips in my past life, or the wonderful weekend I spent there with a group of friends 15 years ago, the city has always been engaging, entertaining and fascinating. The people and culture of France, and particularly Paris, has always held a fascination. My love of the city may be something to do with my heritage. My maternal grandmother was French, and met my Grandfather during the Second World War when he was in France. That said, my heritage certainly hasn’t helped me with any natural affinity to speaking French…it’s safe to say that it was my worst subject at school and I couldn’t wait to drop it when I took my examination subject options when I was fourteen. Of course, us Brits are well known for being the absolute worst at learning languages, so no surprise there either.
Ariskea has produced a new Paris set for the new round of The Arcade, which opens on the 1st December. I remember the first Petite Paris set a few years ago which I loved and have several pieces from, so I was excited to see what would be included in the new set, Petite Paris 2. I wasn’t disappointed. The rares include a very airy and roomy skybox with a Paris cityscape which was, of course, perfect to set up for this picture.
