I visited New York a few years back and sleepless was certainly my experience. I was only in the States for a few days so my body never really adapted to the timezone change so I was waking up super early in the morning. I have to say that the area where our hotel was must not have got the memo about being the city that never sleeps because while I going for walks at 5am in the morning there was NOTHING open or going on. It was a trip I very much enjoyed. I’m glad I saw NY, visited the 911 memorial, took a boat trip, saw the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square….the naked cowboy. It was a fun couple of days but now I’ve seen it I have absolutely no desire to ever go back there. Now, my next stop was Boston and I adored it…I’d go back to Boston in a heartbeat…same with Chicago that I visited about 10 years ago.
