Yesterday I went to an open discussion forum on Inspiration Island. It was run by someone who has become somewhat of a friend, Pet Karu, who I interviewed at SL15B about relationships in Second Life. I went because it was week one in a series she calls the Affirmation series. A is for Affirmation. It’s based on the Affirmation series by Deepak Chopra and is really about how you feel about yourself. The basis is that you will continue to find yourself in unhealthy relationships unless you deal with the things inside you that draw you to them. From what I understood it’s about retraining your mind to believe positive things about yourself instead of the negative. Pet is a calming influence too and has a great sense of humour. I like the range of people and stories shared in the group and although I don’t think I’ll make it over there every week, and even though I found some of the questions she posed uncomfortable to answer, even to myself, I think I will try to get over there as regularly as possible.
Today I am featuring more items from the current round of The Arcade. Both kunst and Bad Unicorn had items that were oriented more towards the guys and it gave me the idea for putting together the scene below. From the Bad Unicorn set the F*ck Off Fort comes with a colour change menu and the inflatables come in 5 different colours.
