I am on a timer to get this post out…not because of any blogging deadline but because I have some pain au chocolat baking in the oven and they will be ready in…13 minutes from now….
My photo is one I took a few days ago featuring this great office decor set from Loft & Aria at Collabor88. One of the reasons I love Loft & Aria so much is the colour and texture options that come with their items. It may be a bit geeky but I love clicking through the menus and finding all the patterns and colours they have included in each item…and it’s not just the ‘big’ items like chairs etc…quite often there are options to change the details on the smaller items in their sets too. Always, always check the menu to see what surprises await and mix and match up the items. It’s a big part of the fun of decorating.
Yesterday was my Christmas, for those of you who read my previous post about getting my family together yesterday for my birthday after having an awful Christmas. It was a fun day and there’s lots of food left over but that just means it feels even more like Christmas! Today is my birthday and it’s quiet (so far) as most people are still sleeping but I already awoke to some wonderful surprises including Artem having decorated the house in hundreds of balloons and streamers, cards, cakes and other assorted celebrations decor. He totally had me fooled because he had done similar last year but it was a ‘big’ birthday and he had me convinced there wouldn’t be a repeat and had prepared me not to expect the cacophany of colour I woke up to. So, my day started with a huge smile on my face and it’s now going to continue with fresh baked pastries! Time to go make some coffee to accompany them!
