Sitting in my non air-conditioned office this morning I long to be sat on a beach like this! I am not a fan of summer…I hate being too hot, especially at work. I’m the first one into the east facing office so even by 7.30am the sun has been beating in through the windows for a couple of hours. It’s like a furnace in here when I open the door. We’re on the third floor of the building and I will open all the windows and put on everyone’s desk fans but unless there is some wind in the air it does little to cool the office. It’s really not pleasant.
I had an assessor come in on Monday for a qualification I am doing and we decided to have our hour long assessment meeting outside and that was gorgeous.
At least I am quite lucky. I only work until 2pm most days and the rest of my colleagues are here until 5pm but by then the sun has moved around to the other side of the building and the office is already cooler. I’d kill for air conditioning….or a day off on the beach!
