Good morning. 2019 has not been a good year for me so far and this week, has been one of the worst. I gained a son in Second Life a couple of years ago. I worked with Trouble on a few projects and because he’s around the same age as my rl kids he started to call me Mom. I resisted for a long time and finally gave in He even sent me flowers in real life for Mother’s Day last year. I’m not a particularly great ‘mom figure’ in my opinion but I’m there for him as a friend. Just over 24 hours ago he got the news that his girlfriend had passed away. My heart breaks for him. He’s so lost and I feel so helpless and Second Life has lost an incredible artistic talent. She’d been poorly and sick for most of her life and rarely let on, even to some very close to her. She wanted to be defined by so much more than her illness and the tributes on Facebook prove that she was. Above all, she made Trouble/Dylan happy and their dynamic together was extraordinary. He will feel the loss forever.
A few words about what I am wearing before I sign off for today. the Dead Dollz Harajuku set was available for Monthly Midnight Madness September and is now available at the Mainstore and on Marketplace as a regular release in a whopping 23 colors!!! The tutu is cuteness and the sweater works as a regular casual sweater as we get into the autumn months. Because it’s a high waist sweater it works with most jeans/shorts etc that you might have from other stores too…so mix n match to your hearts content.
