Well, this is a little bit different for me! I’m really getting into the Halloween spirit with a load of items from Salem featured in the blog today.
I’ve been learning some new techniques and playing around with more buttons and sliders in camera raw when editing photos and I’m pretty pleased with the results for this photo. I’ve used to the Anya Ohmai Depth Map process to create the DoF in this image too. I’d looked at the method some time ago and decided not to try it because is sounded super complicated. Having played around with it some now I realise it really isn’t…so don’t be put off. I learned it from one of Dae’s tutorials which I will insert below. This method, once learned, is so much easier than trying to achieve DoF in world…you don’t need to worry about alphas and with more alpha hair being released this makes achieving DoF a dream! It also means you can take the level of focus up and down in photoshop rather than guesstimating how much in world will show up in the photo.
Now, onto the items today. My ‘hair-raising’ outfit is inspired by the amazing Aida Ewing and her Halloween Make Ups for LeLutka which she released yesterday at The Black Fair. As soon as I put it on with the hair from Tableau Vivant I had the total look that I wanted. My outfit is in 4 pieces and is a gacha that is available from Vinyl at Salem and I dug out an older release tattoo from White Widow.
Now, the pose is made by my stabby-obsessed friend Tracy Redangel of GingerFish Poses and the pack includes 6 bento poses with prop (now! – if you bought this in the first 24 hours go get a redelivery…the stabby one had kept all the knives to herself, but they are now included in the package).
