Pridefest 2020 starts tomorrow. It’s a 3 days festival of music with proceeds going to the incredible Trevor Project charity. I was lucky enough to be able to go check out the sim as they get ready for the first show tomorrow, 19th June at 10am slt.
The event is organised by a collaboration of organisations from Forty Thieves, FMD, Seraphim and ColdAsh with support from many others. Over 3 days over 50 different DJ’s and Live Musicians will take to the stage in a unique festival, party atmosphere! There are even portapotties for the complete Festival feel!
In addition to an abundance of music there’s free gifts to collect, prizes and giveaways exceeding L$100,000 in value from many of Second Life’s most cherished designers.
There are three stages in total spread out across the sim with lots of little nooks, gardens and photogenic hotspots scattered around the Festival scene so if you like to take a photo, and I know many of you do, there will be lots of places and spaces to do so.
Seraphim were very proud to be asked to be involved in the event and even more excited when we found out that that donations raised would be going to The Trevor Project. This charity, that was started in 1998 is the leading organisation providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to the under 25-year-old LGBTQ community. They provide life-changing and life-saving services for some of the most vulnerable children and young adults and we, at Seraphim, were very proud to support the work of this much-needed resource. It’s been a challenging Pride month with everything that has been happening in real life and Covid-19 has meant that the usual Pride activities in real life have been curtailed. So, this is the perfect chance to get your Pride on and party to celebrate Love.
