The Whole of the Moon

I’ve come to realise that peace has become of the things I value most in my life. Not solitude or silence and not hiding myself away from the world…but peace. When you are at peace you breath a little deeper, you have more mental energy, your muscles ache a little less because you’re shoulders aren’t slumped. Your phone can ding with a new message and you can pick it up with excitement, not dread.

I’ve spent  a lot of time, throughout my SL and RL trying to find ways to fix things. I see a problem and my instinct is to try and help, to try and smooth things over and fix it. Sometimes it works and sometimes people don’t want things fixed.

I still want, and have, wonderful people in my life. I love to laugh, have late-night conversations, spontaneous adventures. I want friends where you are so absorbed in the moment that time just evaporates and you realise you have to be up for work in just a few hours. But, I’ve become intensely protective of my inner peace alongside the realisation that there is a real beauty in the people that leave you feeling lighter, calmer and at peace.
