The Car Park Attendant?

I have a funeral to go to today and I don’t know what to wear.  Usually it’s simple right? Wear black…well in real life that’s easy for me because pretty much everything I wear is black. But, the instructions for the funeral say wear a ‘touch of colour’. Now I’m wondering how much a touch is.  I’m pretty sure that the things I do have that are colour are not a ‘touch. The choices are post box red, low scoop neckline top, bright orange tank/vest top or neon yellow or green tee shirts. None of which are a) suitable for a funeral and b) a touch of colour. If I wear the red I just don’t feel that’s right for a funeral and if i wear the neon’s I’m worried someone will think I’m the parking attendant. I’m going to have to wear all black and accessorise with a scarf or something I guess.

It made me think about my fashion extremes in real life though…I really do go from one to the other either soooo safe with black or out there in bright colours screaming “LOOK AT ME! I’M OVER HERE!!! YES! ME IN THE ORANGE! NO YOU CAN’T PARK YOUR CAR THERE SIR!!!” Maybe I should have something a little more middle of the road in the wardrobe for future use.
