Happy Friday everyone! Who doesn’t love Friday? Even people that have to work over the weekend seem to love Friday more than any other day of the week. Now I’m one of those weird people that loves Mondays too but I’m a little weird though sometimes that love of Mondays works out for the best and brings benefits to my life that I wasn’t expecting. Better things happen to you if you have a positive outlook even when it’s really hard to be positive.
It’s Black Friday which doesn’t sound like much fun as a name but actually is an awesome event. Stores all over SL are offering items and giftcards at a discount. Giftcards in particular are a great deal as you essentially can buy twice as much credit and use it at any point! LOVE that idea!! I tend to be a giftcard giver at Christmas so today is the perfect day to go and buy those and keep them in my inventory til the day I want to give them to friends and loved ones!
A couple of tips:
- Make a folder in your inventory called Giftcards and immediately place any giftcards in that folder so they don’t get lost in your inventory and forgotten about. Use subfolders if you already know who you are buying them for to keep them sorted to.
- Giftcards and Credit for yourself – Make a notecard in world, or a spreadsheet (I’m a sucker for a spreadsheet) listing the stores you have credit/giftcards for and keep track of the amount of credit you have. This doesn’t have to be a specific amount but a rough guide. As exciting as it is to suddenly find out you had 1000L$ credit at a store that you had forgotten about it can also lead to purchasing with L$ when you don’t need to as happened to me very recently.

About the Stuff:
The stars of the show today are the dress and shoes! The dress is a new release from Evani at the November round of Tres Chic. It comes in three fits, Belleza Freya and Isis and Maitreya Lara (worn) and with a texture change hud for the dress which gives you the options of a plain dress or text logo…I went with ‘pvp girl’ and anyone that has played WoW with me will know why!
The shoes are a new release from the ever wonderful fri.day and they are available at Kustom 9 November round. They come in Maitreya fit only and in two parts – the platform shoe and the separate sock/legwarner add on. Although I’m wearing the black, or rather coal, for this photograph what I really like about this set is the bright colour options available with bright pinks and teals also available they brighten up an outfit, especially at this time of year.
