Window Dressing

There are many character traits that us Brits are known for…’the Blitz spirit’ as it’s called is our ability to carry on as normal in the face of adversity and fear. The British ‘stiff upper lip’ which is our way of putting a brave face on things when we’re down or upset and our love of a good queue! There’s no nation on earth that can queue like the British. We’re orderly, organised, polite and, there’s a whole raft of unspoken rules about what not to do in a queue.  We are quite happy to queue for everything.

Many years ago I went on holiday with a group of friends and we decided to catch a bus into town. We stood at the bus stop, just the four of us, for about 20 minutes alone. As soon as the bus appeared on the horizon of the road people, most of them locals, came out of nowhere…I suspect some of them event waited behind trees and bushes. Suddenly there were about 40 people waiting to get on the bus…we were Brits, we had queued, we were first in line! As the doors of the bus opened people pushed and shoved to get on the bus, trying to pull as back so we couldn’t get on the bus. My friends boyfriend tried to fend a few of them off to allow myself and my friend on to the bus, quite successfully. Then, as he climbed up the stairs to join us, an older woman, bent her head forward and bit the calf of his leg. BIT HIM! For real, sunk her teeth into his calf. All because we had the audacity to expect to get on the bus we had queued for patiently for 20 minutes???

Sometimes you have to wait for things in life, especially good things. How we wait says a lot about ourselves and our sense of entitlement. Obviously, as  a Brit, I think we have it right by showing good manners and patience. Just don’t try to queue jump or bite us…we bite back!

The FaMESHed sim has been incredibly busy since the first day of opening and I think it’s likely to stay that way for a while. There’s always some window shopping to do while you wait on the FaMESHed website or at the Facebook page. It’s definitely worth the wait to get into the amazing round and here’s just a few of the reasons why…

About the Stuff:

Loving a new gown from Dead Dollz and this one can be worn in two ways, with or without the shrug (which has a gorgeous bow detail on the back). The dress itself fits perfectly, as you would expect from Dead Dollz, to the Maitreya Lara body and comes with options to change the colours of the small bow at the bottom of the plunging neckline plus the studs that accentuate it. There are 9 different colours available from vibrant red through to celebration gold!

The jewelry is also at FaMESHed and is beautifully detailed and superbly well textured set from Empyrean Forge and comes with several options to change the colours of the butterflies and also the metal textures. You really need to see this close up and in person, so pop over to FaMESHed when you can!
