Sticking Your Head in the Sand

If you love clothes and shopping and hate politics you might want to skip to the ‘About the Stuff’ section today…sorry, not sorry. The title of the post is something I imagine the majority of the Tory leadership doing this morning and judging by  a few of the idiots they have rolled out on the morning news I’m not far off. So, in the UK today we wake up to the news that we have a hung parliament…something you could see coming if you were actually in touch with the people and the mood in the country. The UK population is splintered in so many ways and to my mind the Conservatives completely disenfranchised their supporters who did not vote for Brexit and, were far too willing to embrace the ‘axis of evil’ that I mentioned yesterday. They turned off moderate Tory voters in their droves.

Labour had it’s issues too but 2 months ago I would have ridiculed the idea of voting for Jeremy Corbyn but the turn around that he, and his supporters, encouraged was immense. I have pretty much no doubt that even just given a couple more weeks the result we wake up to today would have been different. They needed to convince more floating voters that their sums added up and that really wasn’t helped by blunders from the leader and shadow home secretary, Diane Abbott.

So, as we face being 9 days away from the start of Brexit negotiations with, at the time of writing, no government in place, what are the silver linings?  I would suggest the total decimation and annihilation of UKIP is worth a huge cheer! Other than that it’s all pretty much a big fat mess…

And people wonder why I prefer Second Life.

I am LOVING the retro and vintage feel to so many events right now…from Collabor88, TLC and The Vintage Fair…there is something across all the decades for the classic retro chic look!

Collabor88 opened yesterday and, thanks to the LL Gods of Premium Membership, I was able to get into it on day one with just one tp! But shush about that or everyone will be doing it and then we’ll we back to waiting days 😛
