I’m currently reading/listening to Ready Player One by Ernest Cline which is set in a dystopian future and heavily involves a VR world called the OASIS…sound familiar?

Today is the opening of an event that I have been involved with from it’s inception, Thereafter, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with everyone! Now, first up, it’s really important to stress that this is not just another shopping event, it’s far more than that. Yes, there is shopping from brand leading stores in, and out, of the genre but there is also a vast and exciting entertainment schedule. Thereafter is an experience. From the amazing sim decor by Jessyca Teardrop, to the line up of fabulous creators through to the line up of fantastic DJ’s and Live singers that will be performing over the 10 days of the event to the most unique fashion show you will ever experience in Second Life. I know, I know…a fashion show???? Hold on though, this isn’t a runway show with flexi gowns and 12ft tall stick thin supermodels. This is a visual imagining of the Taming of the Shrew set in a post-apocalyptic world and featuring fashion and decor on sale at the event. I’ve not come across this idea in SL before and I’m really excited to see the show. You can see the full schedule of events on the Thereafter website
