Welcome to my ramblings for today. Yesterday I finally finished decorating our sim. *Gets out the flags and bunting!*
Zedekiah and I had opened the original version of Reincarnate several months ago but we both didn’t feel 100% happy with it and had different visions of how it should look. It took a while for those visions to mesh together and so we decided to uproot the whole sim and start over again from scratch.
We knew it would take a while as I worked around my rl and sl work schedule and for the last week or so it’s been in that ‘99% ready’ mode. Decorators and decor bloggers will tell you that when they are putting together scenes or decorating parcels there is a stage where it’s almost done. It’s almost perfect. It’s almost at the stage where you are happy with it. But, something is in the back of your mind saying ‘it needs something else…it’s not there yet.’ Sometimes, you have no idea what it is that it needs. You can search your inventory for hours and thinking ‘nope, no, nah, nopes’ to every item you pull out. Usually inspiration hits you in the most random ways. Either you’re sent a blogger box, or you visit an event, or a store, or a sim or see a photo on Flickr and you spot the item! “HOORAY” you exclaim, “THAT’S IT!!!!”.
At least three of the things that I just described above happened when putting together this scene which is one of the feature areas of sim which we hope to open again to the public soon.
Reincarnate is really living up to it’s name as we continue to bring our visions together. As our relationship develops the sim has too. I know we both can’t wait for you all to see it.
