Time to Make Me Feel Right

I’m running on about four hours sleep and my usual nap time on a Saturday is going to be replaced with watching football as England take on Sweden for a place in the World Cup semi final. Today is going to be interesting for sure. I’m sure other countries have their own stories of World Cup disappointments but as the ‘home of Football’, England, we do seem to have more than our fair share. My daughter and her boyfriend visited last weekend and we were talking about the trials and tribulations. Obviously, they are too young to remember Italia 90 and Euro 96, the closest we came to winning anything since 1966. My daughter has no interest in football at all, even at the National level. I’m not sure she’s my daughter at all at the moment. I even told her boyfriend “Don’t marry her until she learns to love football”
