Happy Saturday. I am playing a little catch up after One Billion Rising which incredibly well! We’re already talking about next years event! I did want to mention something else that I was involved with a couple of weeks ago which was the filming of a Designing Worlds episode about Legacy in Second Life. It will be airing on Monday and I’ll share a link. I was invited after a group of us were talking on the OBR Team skype call about our experiences of losing someone from SL and the effect their passing has on the communities they were part of. I shared the story of a good friend of mine Dummies Oysternatz who passed in 2012 and who is still remembered fondly by so many of us that were lucky enough to know him. Much of the episode focuses on how you can leave information with a trusted friend in the event of your passing so that your friends here in Second Life know. We also touched on the subject of people who have faked their deaths in Second Life. It was a really interesting conversation to be part of and I’m looking forward to seeing the end result of the filming.
Anyways not the brightest subject for a Saturday but definitely thought-provoking!!
