Heart of the Home

I normally start to write here about my thoughts and feelings exactly as they are at the time of writing. This morning we woke up to news of a terrible terrorist attack in New Zealand and my thoughts on the subject are still processing. I’ve seen lots of outrage on social media but it certainly seems to be less than there has been for other acts of terrorism. Maybe it’s the timezone difference and the time when the news happened, maybe it’s because we’re becoming ‘numb’ to extreme acts of violence like this…maybe not. New Zealand has always been such a safe and peaceful place and I am sure what has happened today will cast a shadow for a very, very long time.

My heart goes out to Kiwi’s everywhere and especially to the families and friends of those killed and injured today.
