The Magic Door

   “Don’t bang your head on a wall. Find a door and knock on it”

Maybe it’s lack of sleep but I am feeling a little philosophical this morning. I take photos 2/3 at a time and have the bulk of each post done ahead of time. Today I was struggling for a title for the post. It’s ‘working title’ has just been ‘Door’ since I took this photo over the weekend. I looked at Facebook messenger to see if my official ‘blog titler’ was online but he wasn’t. So, with the urgency of running late and needing a title quick smart I decided there was nothing for it but to turn to googling door quotes. 

Then I started to think… well, all doors are sort of magic. You don’t know for sure what is on the other side of them until you are brave enough to open them. (Except when I get home from work…I know there is a sausage dog on the other side ready to try take my kneecaps out). Doors sometimes close, unexpectedly and while that doesn’t feel very magical at the time, it is nearly always to allow other doors to open. Everything happens for a reason. I will always prefer to find a door and at least opening it ajar, having a nose around behind it and seeing what the potential is and, if anything, I’ve been guilty of leaving a door open too long to people who didn’t warrant it. 

Anyways, I’m rambling now…mainly because I got up late and I’m really only half-caffinated. The weekend is nigh! Happy Thursday.
