Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner

I was born in London and even though I only lived there for the first two years of my life, I still consider myself a Londoner at heart. Even when we moved 45 miles out of the city we would still go back often to see my Nan and my Great Grandmother and my Aunt and cousins. I have so many memories of the area where my Nan lived. When I went to stay with her she’d march us down the Portobello Road (and I mean march….for an ‘old’ woman she could walk fast and I’d be almost running to keep up with her). She had a two bedroom flat with no central heating and she used to practically live in her kitchen, using the oven for heat. When we all visited the ‘sitting room’ would be used, as it was considered a special occasion and she’d put the 2 bar heater on in there. When it was time to go to bed, I hated it. The bedroom was freezing….12 months of the year it seemed. But my Nan would put a hot water bottle in the bed to warm it up before I got it and tuck me up with a hot mug of Ribena.

All these memories came back to me when I revisited London for Ara, created my super talented son, Trouble Dethly, for his anniversary with Ara. I know how hard he worked on this sim and I know he had help too from a group of friends and family that love him and Ara very much. I am not sure how long he is keeping the sim open but it’s well worth a visit and a great place to take photos. Slurl is in the credits below.

I’m sporting the new release from Blueberry for my trip to London. As always it’s a jam packed release with 5 elements, a top, jacket, corset, jeans and shoes. I’m wearing the Jacket and Clubber Top along with the stone and gem encrusted jeans. The jeans come in a high waist and low waist option and there are literally hundreds of ways to combine the outfit with colours and the options included in each item. It’s always fun to style an outfit from a Blueberry release.
