Papaya, Pears and Prettiness

I saw a post on Facebook just before sitting down to write this about blogger deadlines and vacations. I am going to write a fuller response with my thoughts on the post but it got me thinking about where I am currently. I have a lot of business and blogging deadlines right now and sometimes they are more self-imposed than imposed by brands but when I want to blog something, even if I don’t have a brand deadline, I want to blog it while it’s still relevant and new. So, I put some pressure on myself to make that happen.

I mentioned recently that after an enforced blogging break earlier this year I was now in a place where I was back to really enjoying blogging and finding it a great outlet for me but a balance has to be in place between the enjoyment and what I have time to do. I’m terrible at saying no. That’s on me…I need to be better at that for sure. Not just saying no to others but recognising when I need to say no to myself…. when it’s ok to cut myself some slack. I’m not there yet but I feel it coming!
