Starlite, Starbright, the star I see tonight

A couple of weeks ago someone I had met recently and asked me to give them a link to my blog as “the link in your profile is wrong”. I gave him the link and he immediately came back and again and said “no, it’s not working. That’s a different blog”.  I must admit I was scratching my head a little by then as I was confident I know the address of my own blog!!! Then he said something that gave me a clue to what the issue was “this blog is all different people.”  I asked him to gyazo me the page he was looking at and of course, he was looking at the looking at the front page of my blog. It wasn’t different people…it was me…with several different ‘looks’. I explained this to the friend and I’m not convinced he believed me at all.

I thought about that conversation a few times over the last few weeks. I’d like to think it’s a huge compliment to the work I do as a blogger if I really am making my style that different each time that I look like a completely different person. Especially as I don’t usually change my skin and I rarely change my make up. I am in red hair 90% of the time, but like today I will switch to blonde or brunette occasionally usually dependent on the hair brand I’m using and my favourite shades from that creator.

I had a conversation with another friend a few days ago about what the real Kess looks like. The Kess that isn’t putting together a look for a blog post but is dressed as I want to identify my avatar. She is a redhead. She loves freckles. She prefers jeans and a sweater or a classic slip dress. She’s not an over-accessoriser. Her favourite style for summer is boho. Her favourite for winter….what she’s wearing in this picture with a pair of jeans and boots.  I like simple, laid back and casual for Kess for those rare ‘downtime’ moments.

About the Stuff:

One of the things other than blogging that has been keeping me so busy of late is the new magazine Spotlight which focuses on event culture in Second Life. I have been working on the marketing and PR for the magazine and I was delighted when Jamie at unKindness agreed to provide the Spotlight VIP group with a December group gift. The Starlite boxes come in 3 wood finishes and with lights. They are so perfect for winter and all you have to do to get yours is join the Spotlight VIP group, which is free to join, and check group notices.

My necklace is the 2016 version of the Wassail Necklace from Empyrean Forge and comes with a colour change hud with 2 metal changes and lots of different options for the ribbons so you can mix and match with your favourite outfits.
