I had a wonderful evening in Second Life last night, starting with my DJ Set at Blithe. I have a regular set there where I play mainly alternative and indie music and throw the occasional pop or dance song into the mix. Last night I decided, with it being so close to the end of the year, that I would put together a list of my favourite tunes, across the genres, of 2016. A couple of people asked me for the playlist so I produced my very first Spotify playlist! Now I am going to try for the first time to embed the link here!
Now, I’m a pretty friendly kind of person and an avid reader of profiles. After my set I went to see a fellow DJ at another club and stumbled across a rant in someones profile about accents…more specifically ‘British’ accents. It was a pretty long rant and I must admit I didn’t read all of it and in fact IM’d the person to tell them it was TL;DR but I agreed with the first couple of lines. Well a few hours later we established, that aside from agreeing about his profile rant, we also had several other things in common…including, but not limited to, the correct way to eat a creme egg, a love of black pudding and a firm belief that eggs should be served soft and runny! When it comes to SL I’m not sure there can be a more solid basis for a friendship frankly!
It’s NYE and there is no mention of looking back on the last year or resolutions. I’m not doing either today. I’m just looking forward to the new year and I hope you all have a safe, happy and fulfilling 2017
