Learning and Sharing as a Blogger

Since we launched the Blogger & Vlogger Network the importance of collaboration, networking and support within the blogging community has never been more clear to me. Yesterday we had Strawberry Singh come along and do a live presentation on the importance of social media and a couple of things struck me while listening to her. Firstly, you can always learn something new and secondly, we don’t always do everything we know we should do.

Hashtags is one of the key messages from her presentation that I took on board. I know a little about hashtags but I’m not using them actively at all and I’m autoposting to Twitter  (well I was until this post) which meant that I wasn’t using hashtags on Twitter properly. I knew that hashtags were important on Twitter but I wasn’t doing it because autoposting was so easy.

My Second Life profile is also something I need to sort out. Not the one in world but the one on the web that Berry illustrated so well is a useful tool to promote yourself and your blog.

The presentation was full of useful tips, tricks and reminders and a request from Berry for us to set up a Discord server for the BVN group, which we did and has already been immensely popular.

You can watch Berry’s presentation on the BVN YouTube Channel, or catch any of our previous presentations,  or on Berry’s YouTube Page.  You can read more about the content of what was covered on Berry’s blog too!

My photograph today is a collaboration with my favourite woman in Second Life, Sady. We have been saying that we will do a collaboration post since she first started blogging and finally we got around to it! So yesterday was full of sharing, collaboration and networking and I learned heaps and had a lot of fun in the process!

About the Stuff:

There is a plethora of new items out in Second Life right now from events and that’s about to quadruple with Pose Fair, The Epiphany, Bloom and Luxe Book all releasing in the next few days. Today Sady and I are both wearing a toga from The Annex which is available at We Love Roleplay. It comes in 5 colour options and in fits for Belleza Freya, Isis and Venus, Slink Original and Hourglass and Maitreya Lara (worn).

My hair is from The Chapter Four and is one ot two styles available by gacha from Wasabi Pills at the event. The styles are quite similar with subtle change to the bangs and front in each style.

I love the Spring and summer in both lives for being able to get out of the boots and shoes and into open toe flats and sandals and NOIR have this set of sandals available at Collabor88. They come in fits for Belleza, Slink and Maitreya feet with 2 pairs available for each foot type with materials or without. There are 12 colour options and the ability to mix and match those too with different colours on the main body of the shoe and the daisies on the front.

For the credits on Sady’s look please hop on over to Sady Style and check out her take on this scene and all the credits.
