If it makes you happy

Life is too short to do things that make you unhappy…I think most people can agree on that point. It’s also too short to invest time in talking about things that you don’t like or make you unhappy.  There is nearly always a positive way to look at most situations…yes, even some of the most dire and upsetting.  There’s not situation, issue or conflict that can be made better by complaining about it.  The biggest obstacle, I’ve learned from experience, to happiness is the fear of the outcome of enacting decisions. Sometimes you know something is the right thing to do but you worry about the impact of your decision on other people or, especially online, how people will react and talk about your decision.  Realising that you can only control one persons actions and thoughts on a subject or situation is a major step and something I had to learn a while ago. I am only responsible for me.
