Choose your Battles

My battles over the last few days have been against myself. Feeling grumpy and moody (honestly I know I’m a woman n stuff but that’s really not like me) and struggling with a need to sleep versus a desire to keep myself busy til crazy hours of the morning. Nothing bad had happened to put me in a bad mood I was literally just like a bear with a sore head for a couple of days. I did desperately need an earlieish night but left to my own devices that probably wasn’t going to happen. Unless I got sent to bed…apparently. My friend Jase hopped into my IM around 11pm and literally sent me to bed! I’m not sure if I am more shocked that he did that or that I did I was told but off to bed I went. I’m pretty thankful to him today or I really would have had been in a terrible mood after the way my morning went.

It was cold today…frosty, frozen cold! I decided to go and start the car about 10 mins before I had to leave but the car had other ideas. The car lock had frozen solid and no matter what I tired I couldn’t get the key into the lock. Same with the passenger side door. Fortunately the rear door would open and while I’m lucky enough to have a 4×4 it’s a small sporty style one. So there I am this morning in my work skirt suit and heels doing contortionist battle with the rear seats as I climbed over trying to reach the drivers door. I swear I heard my neighbour laughing as she walked past walking her dog as my rear end protruded from the vehicles rear end (never did like that bitch). So finally, a little dishevelled and with the stress level rising due to my impending lateness to work, I made it to the drivers seat of the vehicle and manually unlocked the doors. Would the damn thing open? Course not…I shoved and pushed eventually realising my shoulder was more likely to break the glass if I wasn’t careful than it was to open the bloody, infuriating, frozen door.  I realised I needed to kick the door, so there was more shifting and contorted to get my butt over the gearstick enough not to cause an accident (stop laughing!) and rest myself on the passenger seat to kick the door with more leverage. Almost 20 minutes after I first tried to unlock the car I had the door open and the engine on by which time I was exhausted  and pretty much any spring in my step from the early night had vanished.

And people wonder why everything grounds to halt in the UK in a cold snap!

About the Stuff:

I really enjoyed doing this pic…it actually took less time to set up than deciding which of the awesome colours of the outfit to wear from E-Clipse Design. This outfit is due for release at Shiny Shabby on the 20th and comes in fits for Belleza Freya and Isis, Slink Hourglass and Original and Maitreya Lara (worn). The pants, top, bodysuit and boots are aall individually worn so you can mix and match. I’d put the outfit together and had an idea for how I wanted to take the pic while I was unpacking the items from Industry 7 at this round of Epiphany and it was as if Poe Cross had been in my head because this RARE studio background was simply perfect (even if the idea of Poe being in my head is scary….for both of us probably!)
